Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher
This one-day course will reinforce and update your knowledge and understanding of your legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.
The United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG) recognises this course as meeting the required standard for all managers working on UKCG sites.
Important SSSTS Refresher changes
Candidates must take an SSSTS Refresher course before their existing certificate expires, otherwise the full SSSTS course will have to be taken again. The six month grace period that used to be in place will cease to exist from 1 January 2016.
Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS-R) course is for delegates who have previously passed the two day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course and can provide proof of successful attendance. It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by the changes to procedures built upon the material in the original course.course for you if you have previously passed the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
This refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving you a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It builds on the material in the original course.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your supervisory role
- implement new guidance and industry best practice affected by changes
- fulfil your responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and the environment.

Assessment and exams:
This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.
Upon successfully completing the course you will be awarded a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.
