This course is designed for those people with little or no prior knowledge of Aviation, who are intending to seek employment within the Aviation Industry. You may be looking for a career in flight operations, air traffic controller, ground handling, cabin crew or airport administration roles. You may already have an interview and require to have a overview of how the industry works. The programme will provide an insight into the world of aviation and an understanding of some of its terminology, whilst improving your general English language at the same time.

The course provides a useful combination of intensive general English language development and Aviation English tuition.

Throughout your Aviation English program we will extend your Aviation vocabulary, whilst improving the receptive and productive language skills, using a range of topic areas within the context of Aviation.

The course will focus on developing the necessary language skills and vocabulary required for communication in a variety of Aviation contexts.  

Careers in the Aviation industry - Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, Engineers, Ground Handling, Air Cabin Crew and Airport/Airline Administration roles.

Aircraft - Types, Structure and Maintenance

Airport - Areas, Layouts, Equipment and Planning

Phases of flight - Pushback, Take-off, En route and Landing

Language of flying - communication in the air and on the ground

Theory of flight

Meteorology

Navigation

Emergency situations

You will also have the option to add on one of our NCFE Approved Vocational Aviation Courses that will cover all areas of ground operations and cabin crew career paths. Many of these courses will incorporate professional visits to airports etc. (Additional Fees Apply)
