Dental nursing foundation

Dental Nursing Foundation course specially designed by our Team of Dental Professionals who are Dentists and experienced Dental tutors with 20 years of experience in teaching Dentistry to help everyone who wishes to step up into Dental industry but never had experience. During this course students will learn the concepts and principles applied in the Dental Practice and would be able to start work in Dental Surgery.

No previous experience required – we will teach you from A to Z.

Working together – Starting a new career isn’t easy and often it can seem like a lonely and impossible process. Our Dental Department always behind each learner, supporting every step of the way, we give you all the tools, skills and assistance you need to succeed.  Will you need a job in dental surgery prior starting the course? No. Once you will start the course, you will have to find a work placement. This is a paid job, unless you would like to work voluntary for personal reasons. LWA will also provide a Reference letter to the employee in case if learner finds a job independently. Earn while you learn could be another benefit for doing this course.We provide a list of Private Surgeries who are in touch with us for the last 8 years and looking for more Trainee Dental Nurses so learners can contact them as a registered student at the Academy.

What Can You Expect to Earn as a Trainee Dental Nurse? Compared to other caring professions, Dental nursing is well paid and offers plenty of opportunity for continued training and development. This is a great opportunity for everyone who starting Dental Nursing course.  As you don’t have any experience in Dental  industry yet, your position will be called Trainee Dental Nurse and usually practice will offer you a part time job as a start. It is a paid job, which will help you to pay for the course, get experience and give you more working hours in a short time.  A standard working week a trainee dental nurse salary will be around £16,000 per annum. However, many qualified dental nurses earn between £19,00 and up to £28,000.

Progression On successful completion of this course, candidates can register for NEBDN National Diploma Level 3 in Dental Nursing course.

  7. Apply Dental Charting including BPE charting skills
  8. Tooth notation
  9. Follow health and safety guidelines including first aid
  10. COSHH and RIDDOR
  11. IRR 1999 and IR(ME)R 2000
  12. Microbiology and pathology
  13. General effects of diseases to the body and the oral health
  14. HTM 01-05 Basic Infection control protocol
  15. HTM 07-01 Safe management of healthcare waste
