Dental training courses

Dental Nursing course (NEBDN)

The Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing is a nationally recognised qualification. Successful completion will enable you to register as a Dental Care Professional with the General Dental Council (GDC) and practice as a qualified Dental Nurse.

Dental Exam Revision course

Dental Nursing – Exam Revision course has been created at the Academy due to a high demand from internal and external Dental Nursing students who are due to sit NEBDN examination.

Dental Sedation Nursing course

Conscious Sedation is a vital part of modern dentistry enabling a huge number of patients with anxieties and phobias to access care they otherwise could not tolerate. In the UK this involves the administration of sedative drugs which patients may take orally, inhale or have injected.

Oral health education

Oral Health Education is a very unique avenue of dentistry where we deal with influencing an individual’s dental behaviour, or on a broader scale, a whole community’s behavioural pattern, to keep the mouth free from disease.

ILS For Dentists Level 3 (VTQ) 

This course meets the criteria for the General Dental Council’s development outcomes C

Dental Nursing Foundation

During this course students will learn the concepts and principles applied in the Dental Practice and would be able to start work in Dental Surgery.

This qualification is suitable for GDC registered dental nurses assisting their dentist in fluoride application.

Dental nurses in practice CPD 

Undertaking CPD is compulsory and key to maintaining your place on the Dental Care Professional (DCP) register. As a registered dental nurse you are required to demonstrate 150 hours of CPD over a 5-year cycle.
