First Aid Training Course – Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
London Waterloo Academy's First Aid Training course is a one-day, HSE-approved and Ofqual-regulated Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification (FAA Level 2 Award). It runs for a minimum of 6 hours at our Central London SE1 campus, costs £105, and leads to a regulated certificate valid for 3 years plus a verifiable CPD certificate. London Waterloo Academy has delivered accredited training in Central London since 2009.

Employees who need to meet workplace first aid requirements under HSE regulations, first-time first aiders, and anyone renewing an expired EFAW certificate.
What the EFAW course covers
The course is both practical and theoretical, covering the responsibilities of the first aider, incident reporting, first aid hygiene, bleeding, shock, seizures, primary and secondary assessment, resuscitation, angina, heart attacks, choking, minor injuries, and dealing with an unresponsive casualty — fully compliant with current Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and guidelines.

Dress code
Female candidates are recommended to wear trousers and comfortable shoes so everyone can practise CPR technique effectively on the manikins.
