Welcome To A New Academic Year!!

Welcome to a New Academic Year!

We are thrilled to announce that we have moved office and cannot wait to welcome all existing and new learners at the new premises from 7th September, Monday.

Our new address:
18 Hatfields, London, SE1 8DJ (5min walk from Waterloo East/Southwark station, behind OXO Tower)

The last 5 months have been a truly strange time, and in some ways really difficult. However, as hard as it has sometimes been, we have also felt so proud of Waterloo Academy and the community you have all helped to create there. We’ve received so much support and appreciation from so many of you. Thank you all for that – it’s really helped.

We’ve also felt very inspired by some of the possibilities we have all found in our new online world. But, at the same time, we can’t wait to get back to teaching face-to-face. Our plans for the new academic year in September are obviously reliant on government advice and our own assessment of what is safe for our students and staff members. With that in mind, we wanted to let you know the specific things we are doing to keep everyone safe at LWA.

These are:

We have changed the class based mode of study to blended mode of study for the first semester of new 2020/21 academic year.
We are providing hand sanitiser on entry/exit to the building.
We have refitted the classrooms with new furniture
We have scheduled time for cleaning in between each lesson.
We will set limits to the number of people in the classroom.
We will seek your feedback on what is working well/what needs adjusting in this ‘new normal’ world.

What you must have when coming to the Academy or New Normality:
Staff, students, visitors, contractors, and members of the public will be required to use face coverings This is out of consideration for those around us.

Important
If you have any symptoms such as high temperature, fever, a new and continuous cough, shortness of breath, anosmia (loss of smell) and ageusia (loss of taste), please stay at home and contact us by phone +44 (0) 7484 014980 or email info@waterlooacademy.co.uk

The class based experience will be different to what we used to, but the quality of tuition will always be outstanding!
